General Dentistery
Examination and Cleaning
During a dental examination, the dentist will assess the teeth, gums, dentures, tongue, palate, and inside of the cheeks to detect any infections, cavities, or other unusual signs that may indicate health problems.
This is an opportunity for the dentist to diagnose the patient's oral health and propose an appropriate treatment plan, if necessary.
Cleaning, performed before the dental examination, softens and cleans the surfaces of the teeth and fillings, and removes plaque, a film of bacteria that accumulates on the teeth. In addition to providing a pleasant feeling of freshness and smoothing the teeth, cleaning prevents plaque from hardening into tartar, a calcified or calcifying mass that can cause periodontal disease.
If required, the hygienist will take digital X-rays. These allow the dentist to complete their observations and propose an appropriate treatment plan, if necessary.
Gum Care
Periodontics is the dental specialty that treats the supporting tissues of the teeth: the gums, bone, etc. While good oral hygiene and regular dental checkups help maintain healthy gums, no one is immune to gum disease, such as gingivitis or periodontitis. We can help you prevent or treat these problems.
Tooth Extraction
To maintain healthy teeth, good oral hygiene and regular dental checkups at least once a year are generally sufficient. However, despite these precautions, complications can arise, making tooth extraction unavoidable.
It is necessary when there is significant tooth decay with few or no treatment alternatives.
Tooth Filling
Generally performed in a single appointment, a filling is a way to restore or repair a decayed or damaged tooth, restoring its function and normal shape. We use various types of materials to restore a tooth: composite, amalgam, and ceramic. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Discuss this with your dentist to make an informed choice based on your oral health.
Root Canal Treatment
When the nerve of your tooth is infected, a root canal allows you to save your tooth rather than having it extracted.
By preserving your natural tooth, you prevent other teeth from shifting and causing jaw problems. You also avoid having to replace it with an artificial tooth.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Improve the aesthetics of your smile!
Indeed, cosmetic dentistry can eliminate most visible problems and irregularities in your smile, restoring your oral health. Several options are available: at-home whitening, veneers, ceramic or porcelain crowns, etc.
Aesthetics of the smile
Dental Veneers
A porcelain or composite veneer is a restoration that covers the front of a tooth. It is primarily used to improve the aesthetics of teeth by modifying their color, shape, and/or spacing.
Crowns
A crown can be used to cover a damaged tooth and protect it from further damage. It may be necessary in the following cases:
after a root canal;
- a large filling in a tooth;
- a broken tooth;
- a discolored, misshapen, or misaligned tooth.
Crowns are strong and last approximately 15 years with proper care. Brush and floss them just as you would your natural teeth.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is an increasingly popular procedure for brightening your smile. The goal of teeth whitening is to give you a more radiant smile while maintaining a perfectly natural appearance.
Since a thorough dental examination is necessary beforehand and several options are available, discussing potential whitening with your dentist during your next visit is highly recommended.
The final result remains difficult to predict, and no guarantee can be given regarding optimal whitening. However, the vast majority of patients experience a significant improvement in the color of their teeth within approximately two weeks of treatment.
Specialized Care
E4D Technology
Thanks to E4D technology, we can perform a ceramic restoration in a single appointment. Ceramic is currently the material that offers the best biocompatibility with tooth enamel. We use it to partially (inlay) or completely (crown) a tooth.
Implantology
Today, the most common method for replacing missing teeth is dental implants. Implants are artificial roots onto which crowns, bridges, or complete dentures are attached. When the patient is edentulous, dentures can be fixed to the implants, while others are removable.
Orthodontics
Orthodontic treatment is available at any age. Misaligned, overlapping, or protruding teeth affect their appearance and function. Orthodontic treatment not only enhances your smile but also promotes better health, as aligned teeth are easier to brush and therefore less prone to cavities and injuries.
If you are unhappy with the appearance or function of your teeth, orthodontic treatment may be the solution.
