Bruxism (occlusal splint)
Installing an occlusal splint can help persons with bruxism and solve certain problems with teeth grinding.
Cerec 3D
CEREC® 3D restoration: once your cavity or filling has been removed, the surface of your tooth is sprinkled with CEREC® powder. Using an intraoral laser camera, we obtain a digital image that we transfer to the computer. Using the CEREC® 3D computer program, the restoration of your tooth is planned using 3D drawings. The information is then relayed to a separate milling machine to create the restoration (it takes 8 to 18 minutes depending on its complexity). The restoration is tried in your mouth to ensure proper fit, bonded to your prepared tooth with a high-strength cement, and polished.
Composite Dental Restauration
Composite Dental restoration is a common procedure that repairs a tooth damaged by decay, fracture, or wear. It helps restore the tooth’s natural shape, function, and appearance, while also protecting it from further damage. We offer dental restoration with composite resin.
Crowns and bridges
Dental crowns and bridges are fixed prosthetic devices that restore or replace one or several teeth that have been permanently damaged.
Dental Surgeries
In general dentistry, simple dental surgeries refer to basic procedures, such as removing a tooth that is already loose or easily accessible. Complex surgery requires more precision and time, for example, when a tooth is broken, stuck in the bone, or located in a more difficult-to-reach area.
Dental bridge
A dental bridge is a fixed device used to replace one or more missing teeth, supported by adjacent natural teeth (the “abutments”) or dental implants.
Dental emergencies
In general dentistry, dental emergencies refer to situations that require rapid intervention to relieve pain or prevent the condition of the tooth from worsening. This could be a broken tooth, an infection, severe pain, or even a lost filling. Our team is here to see you quickly and restore your comfort.
Endodontics (root canal treatment)
A root canal treatment, otherwise known as endodontics, can preserve a tooth that has been damaged or is dead. Keeping the natural tooth helps maintain the alignment of the teeth and avoid various other problems.
- Root canal treatment
- Root canal retreatment
- External and internal resorption
- Management of supra- and infra-bony perforations
- Removal of prefabricated posts
- Periapical surgery
- Apexogenesis
- Apexification
- Reimplantation
- Removal of screwed or cast posts
Esthetic treatments
Free autogenous graft
A free autogenous graft is a dental surgical technique in which a piece of tissue, called a graft, is taken directly from the patient’s palate and then placed on an area of receding or weakened gum tissue to thicken it and slow down the recession.
Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT)
Biofilm-guided therapy is a modern approach to dental hygiene that aims to effectively eliminate bacteria responsible for oral diseases. Using gentle and precise technologies, the biofilm (bacterial plaque) is made visible and then removed with a jet of air, water, and fine particles. This treatment provides a thorough cleaning while being much more comfortable for the patient. Suitable for all ages, this method helps maintain good oral health and prevent problems such as cavities and gum disease.
Mouth guards (sports)
Mouth guards for sports are used mainly to avoid injury to the teeth. In addition to reducing the chances of a concussion, a mouth guard protects the teeth against possible trauma.
Neuromodulator injections
Neuromodulator injections target the upper face to smooth expression lines—such as crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead wrinkles—and can also help reduce the effects of bruxism, such as teeth clenching or grinding. It’s both an aesthetic and therapeutic solution for a relaxed and harmonious face.
Oral surgery (extraction of wisdom teeth)
Oral surgery services are offered in our clinic. The extraction of wisdom teeth is a procedure that is necessary in many cases to preserve oral health.
Papillon bridge
An artificial tooth is made in a laboratory and is attached to the teeth surrounding the gap using small metal wings.
Pedodontics
In general dentistry, pediatric dentistry (pedodontics) refers to dental care provided to children, ranging from prevention (hygiene, fluoride, sealants) to cavity treatments or extractions, while taking into account their growth, development, and comfort.
Teeth whitening with custom-made trays
Teeth whitening: Get your bright smile back by simply using clear custom-made trays along with a professional bleaching product. Talk to your dentist about this convenient solution and enjoy the results!
Veneers
Veneers are a highly natural-looking dental restoration option. They are attached to the front part of teeth and cannot be removed. They can change the shape and colour of teeth as well as mask defects. Veneers are made of very fine tooth-coloured porcelain.
Whitening
Teeth whitening is a popular cosmetic dentistry procedure. Over the past 10 years, whitening techniques have greatly improved. Accessible, non-invasive, and simple, ZOOM ADVANCE is the ultimate in whitening techniques available on the market.
Periodontics
Biopsy
A biopsy involves the collection of a tissue sample and is indicated when a histological analysis must be performed in cases where a lesion is suspected (the analysis will determine if the lesion is benign or malignant) or if a legion persists beyond two or three weeks after suppression of the etiological factors. This involves minor surgery under a local anesthetic.
Crown lengthening
A tooth with a break or cavity below the gumline cannot be restored properly since access and visibility are compromised. Surgery is necessary, therefore, to restore the tooth. The procedure is called crown lengthening.
This is a minor procedure that reduces the height of the gum and bone to expose the decayed or broken part and increase the crown portion of the tooth. Once the operation is completed, the dentist can restore the tooth while maintaining the space needed between the repair or crown and the supporting tissues.
Distal wedge
Distal wedge surgery is a simple procedure. This operation is necessary to correct excess gum tissue covering the back of a tooth. The excess tissue creates a reservoir for bacteria, increasing the risk of infection and bone destruction.
Gingivitis
Gingivitis is characterized by redness and swelling of the gums. This condition is the body’s response to the presence of an irritant, usually the accumulation of plaque (bacteria) and tartar on the surface of the tooth. Gingivitis is a reversible condition and will disappear without causing permanent damage after a dentist removes the plaque and tartar. Certain conditions can affect the severity of gingivitis, such as hormonal fluctuations during adolescence and pregnancy, as well as certain medications.
Labial and lingual frenectomy
Frena are folds of mucous membrane that connect the lip to the gum and the floor of the mouth to the tongue. Since the frenum creates tension on the gum, it can retract and increase the risk of the teeth loosening. Performing a frenectomy can remedy these problems. Frenectomy is a simple surgery that consists of incising the frenum to eliminate its tensile effect.
Occlusal stint
An occlusal stint or bite guard is a custom molded plastic appliance made from an imprint of the teeth. It is recommended for persons suffering from bruxism and/or clenching and grinding of the teeth.
Periodontitis
Periodontitis is an infection of the gums that results in the loss of bone and support around the teeth. Like gingivitis, periodontitis is caused by the accumulation of bacteria on the tooth, under the gum line. In addition to redness and bleeding, periodontitis is characterized by the formation of a space between the gum and the tooth called a periodontal pocket. The pocket is the result of bone loss around the tooth. These spaces are difficult to clean and, therefore, favour the progression of the disease. Without treatment, periodontitis can cause the loss of the affected tooth.
Smile correction
Smile correction involves a minor surgery. Once normal teeth have grown in and developed, there may be excess gum that forms around them. This makes the gums much more visible and the teeth appear smaller, compromising the esthetics of a person’s smile.
Happily, this problem is easy to solve by performing a minor surgical correction, called esthetic crown lengthening, which eliminates the surplus gum and redesigns a more esthetically pleasing gum structure.
Tissue graft
A tissue graft is when a thin layer of tissue is removed from the roof of the mouth, or a tissue donor may be used. The tissue is grafted to the area where the gum has receded to reinforce and rebuild the attached gum, thereby stabilizing the area. The success rate of this procedure is excellent.
Orthodontics
Buccal braces
Buccal braces are the best-known orthodontic treatment; the braces are placed in front of the teeth. We use a combination of metal braces (the smallest in the industry) and transparent braces. The transparent braces offer esthetics, comfort and discretion.
Interceptive treatments
Interceptive treatments, such as palatal expanders or the use of a removable functional appliance, are ideal for young children to intercept the development of the jaws and begin a first orthodontic phase.
Invisalign TM
The Invisalign treatment is the ideal choice for anyone looking for an orthodontic appliance. It consists of a series of small transparent aligners that are changed periodically. Your teeth will move gradually and comfortably. Each aligner is made to measure based on a treatment plan specially designed for you.
Myofunctional orthodontics
Myofunctional orthodontics is a preventive and interceptive approach that aims to correct poor oral habits and guide jaw development. Using removable appliances and exercises, it addresses tongue position, breathing, and swallowing to promote harmonious growth. This type of treatment is often recommended for young children to intervene early and reduce the need for more complex orthodontic treatments in adolescence, but it can also be beneficial in adulthood. It improves function, dental alignment, and facial balance.
Orthodontics for adults
For adults as well, several treatments can be proposed to discreetly align teeth. Our possible treatments are: multidisciplinary & limited treatment, treatment in anticipation of tooth replacement, jaw relationship problem and jaw pain.
Orthodontics for children
Our orthodontists provide a number of treatments for children. The most common problems encountered include: upper jaw too narrow, upper jaw too far back in relation to the lower jaw, anterior crossbite, upper teeth or jaw too far forward in relation to the lower teeth or jaw, bad habits, early loss of baby teeth, poor eruption pattern of adult teeth, and impacted teeth.
Orthodontics for teens
For teenagers, orthodontics is not limited to aligning teeth and correcting smiles. Orthodontic treatment may also be needed to address problems affecting chewing, pronunciation of certain sounds and gum health. Here are some examples of common situations that may benefit from orthodontic correction: minor/moderate crowding, severe crowding, gaps between teeth, anterior gap, closed bite, upper teeth too far forward in relation to lower teeth (non-extraction treatment, distalization, extraction treatment), upper teeth too far back in relation to lower teeth, jaw too narrow, impacted tooth, missing lateral incisor (closing of tooth, closing of gap), narrow lateral incisor.
Maxillofacial
Wisdom teeth
Third molars or wisdom teeth are so named because they are usually the last teeth of the adult dentition to erupt, usually between the ages of 15 to 25. When there is insufficient space or the angle of eruption is unfavorable, the tooth may remain impacted or only partially erupt through the gingiva. These teeth, if not removed, may cause problems such as infections, pain, damage to adjacent teeth, and cysts in the jawbones. At the consultation, your oral surgeon will assess the level of risk of removal, your level of anxiety, and then decide if removal is indicated and, if so, the best technique to do so for your safety and comfort.
Implantology
Gum graft
To give an implant a symmetrical and esthetic appearance, the surgeon may need to perform a gum graft procedure to increase the amount of gum covering the implant.
