Biofunctional dentistry
Biofunctional dentistry: Motivated by the role that dental occlusion plays in our overall health, Dr. Nathalie Vachon has been treating temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders for over 10 years. These disorders have repercussions that interfere with daily life. Recognized for her contribution in this innovative field of dentistry, Dr. Vachon combines know-how and technology to eliminate pain and limit the inconveniences associated with TMJ disorders.
Cerec 3D
CEREC® 3D restoration: once your cavity or filling has been removed, the surface of your tooth is sprinkled with CEREC® powder. Using an intraoral laser camera, we obtain a digital image that we transfer to the computer. Using the CEREC® 3D computer program, the restoration of your tooth is planned using 3D drawings. The information is then relayed to a separate milling machine to create the restoration (it takes 8 to 18 minutes depending on its complexity). The restoration is tried in your mouth to ensure proper fit, bonded to your prepared tooth with a high-strength cement, and polished.
Dental aesthetics
Dental aesthetics: Accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and a graduate of Université Laval as a dental surgeon, Dr. Vachon has been providing cosmetic dentistry services for nearly 30 years. She combines know-how and technology to deliver accurate diagnoses and provide treatments according to the standards of her profession. Dental whitening, preservation, restoration and orthodontics: dental aesthetics is more than a beautiful smile… it’s a healthy smile!
Dysfonctions
These are disorders involving the jaw joint. Symptoms can range from mild cracking of the jaw to severe back pain, muscle and joint pain, tinnitus, and inability to open the mouth. These symptoms are explained by muscle spasms that result from repeated tightening of the muscles and/or teeth.
Symptoms are sporadic and can vary. Often affecting only one side of the face, the pain and tightness appear upon awakening or during and after a period of stress. In most cases, the disorders are explained by muscle tension, anatomical problems or injuries.
Esthetic treatments
Neuromuscular treatment
Neuromuscular treatment loosens the muscles that control the alignment of the jaw in order to establish a relaxed position on which your procedures will be based. This technique encompasses not only the teeth, but also the condition and function of the jaw muscles and joints before, during, and after a procedure. Neuromuscular treatments take into account the entire system that affects the alignment of your jaw (teeth, muscles and joints) and help optimize dental procedures and provide valuable information for treating complex cases. Dr. Nathalie Vachon is trained and equipped to diagnose and treat TMJ disorders. Non-invasive tests can quickly establish if muscle tension is the cause of your pain and if a dental procedure is recommended to resolve the problem.
Whitening
Teeth whitening is a popular cosmetic dentistry procedure. Over the past 10 years, whitening techniques have greatly improved. Accessible, non-invasive, and simple, ZOOM ADVANCE is the ultimate in whitening techniques available on the market.
