Jaw surgery

In the same way that orthodontics is used to reposition teeth, jaw surgery (or orthognathic) is used to correct skeletal (jaw bone) abnormalities that improve the overall function of the orofacial complex and the patient’s appearance. Generally, treatment with jaw surgery must be combined with concomitant orthodontic treatment.
