$150,000 for the Faculty of Dentistry from Clareo Dental Network

The Faculty of Dentistry (FMD) at the University of Montreal (UdeM) is pleased to announce today the signing of a major $150,000 donation from Clareo Dental Network. The three-year agreement established by the donation provides for the creation of the Clareo Dental Network Fund. This fund aims to support the Faculty of Dentistry in pursuing its mission and implementing innovative, strategic projects.

More specifically, this fund will support the priorities of the Faculty of Dentistry until 2025. This includes the awarding of summer scholarships to introduce students to research, funding of research projects. The fund will also allow for the acquisition of new equipment to provide the student community with the best possible learning conditions.

During the announcement of the donation, Dr. Alain Thivierge, President and Founder of Clareo Dental Network, emphasized: “With this partnership, Clareo is committed to supporting and assisting the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Montreal. We wish to enable it to offer students the opportunity to reach their full potential. We have a deep desire to foster the sustainability of the profession for future generations of dentists.”

For his part, Dr. Michel Carrier, Interim Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, stated: “We are extremely grateful for this significant investment from Clareo Dental Network. This philanthropic gesture certainly demonstrates their commitment to supporting our institution. This commitment is both in terms of clinical teaching and their dedication to research, particularly in the clinical field. I hope this marks the beginning of a lasting relationship for the benefit of the profession, its active members, and the next generation of dentists!”

The ceremony announcing this major donation took place in the historic Faculty Council Room. It concluded with a tour of the research laboratories and the University Dental Clinic at the Roger-Gaudry Pavilion.
