Welcome to the Jacques-Cartier Dental Centre!
October 15, 2025With over 40 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Alain Thivierge is the founder of Clareo Dental Network. His career, marked by a deep passion for his profession and a strong commitment to the next generation, reflects a dedication to innovation, training, and improving dental care.
An exceptional career in the service of dentistry
A graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Montreal in 1983, Dr. Thivierge quickly distinguished himself with his leadership qualities within the profession, notably as president of the Canadian Dental Students’ Association starting in 1982.
In 1992, he founded the Association of Francophone Dentists of Ontario.
His entrepreneurial spirit led him in 2013 to consolidate his dental clinics, primarily located in the Outaouais region, under the name Groupe Santé Dentaire.
Then, in 2021, the brand was repositioned, and the Clareo dental network brand was rolled out across Quebec. This Quebec-based network, now comprised of 20 clinics with 50 general and specialist dentists and over 230 employees, distinguishes itself through its innovative approach that emphasizes freedom of practice, skills development, and talent management.
“Our DNA is 100% Quebec-based, and it’s important to emphasize this, especially in the current geopolitical climate. Because being from here means understanding the needs of the people here,” he points out.
Clareo Dental Network: A Vision Focused on Independent Practice and Excellence
The idea for Clareo stemmed from Dr. Thivierge’s passion for dentistry, combined with his desire to build a network capable of meeting the growing needs of Quebec dentists. Clareo distinguishes itself through an approach centered on practitioner freedom while offering a solid corporate structure to support them, thanks to its multidisciplinary team based in Laval, which provides full-time support to the network.
Since 2021, Clareo has experienced rapid growth, and today, with the integration of the International Dental Institute (IDI) in 2022, the network places particular emphasis on continuing education for dentists and the development of clinical skills.
